STORM is the so-called semidry 5mm nylon-lined neoprene monosuit, designed for use while long-lasting diving and/or work underwater, probably, even in case of extreme conditions. STORM suit is also considerably wanted in both Ukrainian and CIS market, especially by state task and otherwise agencies with rather specific purpose divings. This semidry suit is made with attached face-sealing hood, air-, water-, and pressure-tight zip on the back shoulders. Sleeves and trousers are designed double-sealed. Pads on knees are made of a specific wear-proof material — kevlar. The only valve — deflation valve — is placed on the left shoulders of the monosuit. What differs STORM from KATRAN® drysuits line are: no boots attached to the suit, no inflation valve and sealless neck. STORM is designed to envisage (similar to the drysuits’ design) underwear or otherwise warm-keeping clothes to be put on underneath. A considered choice of gloves and boots minimises water coming inside.
As all the drysuits with KATRAN logo, STORM semidry suit passed all 1999 tests to be regularly supplied for Ukraine’s Navy needs ever since.
